Lake Garda

We will be staying in Lake Garda in September as part of our road trip for about 5 days, I've narrowed the area down to Malcesine with the help of P's friend.

Malcesine is a medieval town with cobbled streets, a castle and amazing lake and mountain views.  There is even a cable car trip up the mountain!

I've narrowed the hotels down to two, Hotel Luna Rossa which is very central,  every one on Trip Advisor seems to like it.

And Hotel Benacus which is about a 20 minute walk out of Malcesine, also very popular on Trip Advisor and another family run hotel. 

So many hotels in Italy are run by families rather than big businesses, I'm sure that makes a huge difference to your stay.
