So it was my final lesson on Sunday, there was an awful lot of prep in advance, more icing sugar than I ever want to see again and exhausting. Totally worthwhile though.
We thoroughly enjoyed our Wilton Basics course, I want to do the fondant and gumpaste one now.
Royal icing drop flowers with silver balls
More drop flowers
Rosettes in royal icing
Royal icing stars
Buttercream icing for making butter cream flowers
Thin buttercream icing for covering the cake
My gorgeous lemon cakes
Levelled and filled with buttercream and a lemon flavoured sugar syrup.
In the fridge with the first coating of icing.
Tidied up and second layer added. Hot palette knife is magic!
Final smooth version
Dark purple royal icing drop flowers
And more
Rosettes in dark purple royal icing
Purple buttercream ribbon roses
Final Cake, for my lovely friend Lynda
Final cake
